Clients and staff attended the annual Day at the Capitol on March 12th in Topeka.  The Interhab Day at the Capitol provides the opportunity for senators, representatives and I/DD service providers to meet and discuss current legislative issues of concern by Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Members can thank their representatives and senators while encouraging them to keep I/DD services in mind during times of decision making.

Attending this year's events were Thomas Sprenkle, Missy Self, Jesse Zimmerman and Bryan Stephens.  Seth Nesmith, Director of Day Services accompanied our clients as they met with Representative Will Carpenter and Senator Ty Masterson.  Everyone enjoyed the trip and particpated in the luncheon held on the Capitol grounds.

The staff and clients at Flinthills Services, Inc. are prepared for the coming severe weather season - are you?  We participated in the Statewide Tornado Drill tody (March 4th) by evacuating to our Safe Room here in the Life Enrichment Center within 3 minutes!  Do you have a safe place to go when the sirens sound?

Our very first Pathway to Enrichment Fundraiser took place on Thursday, Oct. 3rd for members of our communities.  Among our guests were State Senator, Forrest Knox and State Representative Ed Trimmer.  Guest speakers included Brent Cronister (Pioneer Balloon), Pat Conine (family of client served) and Rev. Steve Hysom (Trinity United Methodist Church).

We want to thank all of our guests for making this such a success!

For more information on our levels of giving, please see our Fundraising Events page on this website.

Guest speaker, Ann Carpenter, addresses our guests as they prepare to see and hear our Rock and Roll Singers perform a new song "Anyway" by Martina McBride.
